Lakeview Center for Psychotherapy provides Psychological Testing for people 18 years and older.
Psychological Testing involves administering, scoring, and interpreting tests and measures to better understand how a person’s mind works.
Test results, as well as information gathered from other sources (e.g., clinical interview, family meeting), are integrated to identify strengths and weaknesses, make diagnoses, offer recommendations, and come to a fuller understanding of the person.
Testing can be especially helpful when there is a lot of diagnostic complexity or uncertainty or when a person is feeling stuck in their psychotherapy.
At the conclusion of testing, a Psychological Assessment Report is provided, which can be shared with your psychotherapist, doctor, or school.
Many health insurance plans cover Psychological Testing. Lakeview Center for Psychotherapy is in-network with Aetna, BCBS, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum. Prior to scheduling an appointment, it is recommended you check with your insurance to confirm that Psychological Testing is covered and whether a referral or preauthorization is required.
