Psych Testing

Lakeview Center for Psychotherapy provides psych testing for people 18 years and older.

• Testing involves administering, scoring, and interpreting tests and measures to better understand how a person’s mind works.
• Test results, as well as information gathered from other sources (e.g., clinical interview, family meeting), are integrated to identify strengths and weaknesses, make diagnoses, offer recommendations, and come to a fuller understanding of the person.
• Testing can be especially helpful when there is a lot of diagnostic complexity or uncertainty, or when a person is feeling stuck in their psychotherapy.
• At the conclusion of testing, a Psychological Assessment Report is provided, which can be shared with your psychotherapist, doctor, or school.
• Many health insurance plans cover these types of tests. Lakeview Center for Psychotherapy is in-network with Aetna, BCBS, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum. Before scheduling an appointment, please check with your insurance provider to confirm that testing is covered and whether a referral or preauthorization is required.
