Eating Disorders

We help women, men, and children who are struggling with all aspects of food and body related difficulties. These include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, chronic dieting, body hatred and dysmorphia, compulsive eating, compulsive exercising, food obsessions and phobias, and confusion about nutrition. Because eating issues are multi-dimensional, we will explore with you any related factors such as biology, psychological development, family history, current relationships, emotional and cognitive factors, and cultural norms.

At Lakeview Center we have an interdisciplinary team of professionals who can work together to support your recovery. Treatment may involve individual therapy, group therapy, family or couples therapy, nutrition counseling, medication, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and body-centered therapy. If more intensive treatment is needed, we will partner with local day treatment or intensive outpatient programs.

We know the struggle with an eating disorder can be long and extremely difficult. We are committed to providing the treatment you need to help you overcome eating-related symptoms, and to understand and resolve the underlying dynamics.
