Comprehensive eating disorder treatment must include medical evaluation of the physical symptoms associated with the disorder. Lakeview Center’s medical advisor and her associates are internists who are knowledgable about and sensitive to the needs of patients with eating disorders. You may also keep your current doctor if she or he is comfortable with the medical mangement of eating disorders. We will communicate closely with your internist to ensure that you are medically stable and to help make major decisions about your treatment, such as whether you need a intensive treatment program.
